Goodbye Creative Writing

Dear Creative Writing,

Hello Loves! It has been an amazing year with you guys. I’m so sad that I have to leave you guys and our teacher. Everybody in my class period has been so sweet and accepting.

I remember watching Edward Scissor hands, writing our narratives, and designing our comp books (RIP) with a six word phrase. I was scared the first day, but it quickly became my favorite class (and my favorite teacher). The seating arrangement has changed multiple times, but we always have big group discussions in class about pop culture, movies, and life.

You guys feel like my little family!!

We have inside jokes since we’re all about the same age (Hannah Montana, Let it Shine, Princess and the Frog, Barbie’s, Cool Math Games… and much more).

It was an honor to hang out with you guys and spread happiness and love.

Thank you for giving me inspiration to write again.

I love you guys!

This will be my last toodles…

2019 Choir Formal!

Hello Loves! So…this past weekend, I went to an Enchanted Forest themed formal! “A choir formal?” You may be asking. Yes, a choir/theater formal.

Here’s how it came about.

There’s this thing called Mid-state. If you’re in band or choir, you already know what I’m talking about. If you don’t know, Mid-state is where singers from all around the state audition to be a part of the “Mid-state choir.” It looks good on your college transcript

There is also another group that has the same concept, and it’s called All-state. As you can guess, it includes more states than just one.

So, now that we got that out of the way, we can begin.

There are a couple of people in my school that got accepted for All-state this year. It was a pretty big deal, and I was so proud of them for making it. Sadly, however, All-state was the exact same night as THE HIGH SCHOOL PROM. Like what??? What are the seniors supposed to do???

Aha! We make a new prom for them!

So this is how the choir/theater prom/formal was created! We wanted to give them a chance to go to their own prom! Naturally, everyone else in choir, thespian society, and who participated in the play got to go as well! I am in choir and I was the play (you can check out my blog post about that titled “Into the Woods”) so I got to go!!

It was a blast dancing with my best friends. They really went all out for it. We could pay to eat dinner, which wasn’t like your typical school cafeteria. It was sooooo fancy. They had real napkins, waiters, glasses, and good options on the menu. Since I’m vegetarian, I just ate salad and Mac and cheese, however, other people had the option of Chicken Alfredo, ribs, and steak. There were also many side options that sounded yummy. They even had dessert, ya’ll. DESSERT. They literally had a choice of chocolate cake, cheesecake with caramel, or cheesecake with strawberries. AHHHHH. My stomach is grumbling while I’m writing this.

Besides the food, the theme for it was “Enchanted Forest,” and since we just did Into the Woods, we had some leftover things that you could reuse. There were fairy lights, a DJ, fake flowers, hay bails, and trees everywhere. It was beautiful!

Actually… you know how I said that there were fake flowers? Yeah…ugh…I kinda took one home.

It was pretty okay? And I wanted something to remember me of how much fun I had at formal! It was laying on the ground in hay needles, so I assumed that nobody wanted it. AND IT WAS FAKE.

Couple days later, I come to school, and my choir teacher’s teacher assistant comes up to me and goes, “Miss Ava. Did you happen to have a flower from formal?” I freeze and go, “Yes…” Then she goes. “[Choir Teacher’s Name] needs it back. She was freaking out about it yesterday… so… we need it.”

UGHHH. The one time I do anything remotely bad, and I got caught. Murphy’s Law you guys.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this blog post. I’ll chat with you guys later!

Bell Buckle!

Hello Loves! Welcome to today’s blog post. I hope that you’re happy and stress free!! If you aren’t, relax and try to read this post.

Recently, I went to Bell Buckle to look around their small little town! It was very interesting to see the different ways of life that they have. We got ice cream and went shopping, and it was so fun! We took my friend’s dog with us as well, and she loved it there too!!

Here are some pictures of my trip! (Sorry that there isn’t many!)

Here is a picture of some motorcycles lined up. The blue sky was beautiful that day, and I needed to capture it.

Pretty (fake) flowers with a pretty (fake) candle😂. The stores at Bell Buckle are so antique, but in a beautiful way!

This picture is so amazing to me. It was in a store window that I saw. It’s a Mary Poppins display!! Look at the bubble bath! AHH!!

This picture makes my brain hurt🤣. There were umbrellas in the corner of the store hanging upside down, so it already looked weird. But then, I tilted the picture, and now it’s like you don’t know which way is up and which is down!!

Look at this precious little tea room! They have tea time every week. They have tea cups, spoons, napkins, and lacy tablecloths on every table. It was like a whole new world in this room. It felt like I went into a old/ Disney tea party!

I hope you liked my pictures! Thank you for reading lovelies!!💖

10 Disney Quotes That Describe My School Year

Hello Loves! I’m sure every person reading this is struggling to finish school right now. We are all barely making it. These are some quotes that describe how I’ve felt this whole year, in chronological order.

August:

Change is good.” — Rafiki (The Lion King)

This explains my mood the first month of school.

I was scared, but I was so excited. I convinced myself that a change would be good in my life, and I started to believe it! There are things in high school that weren’t available to me in middle school, and I’m very grateful that I have them now!

September:

“Believe you can, then you will.” — Mulan (Princess Stories)

This shows how determined I was to make good grades at the beginning of the year.

I was so excited to learn new things and meet new people. I believed in myself, and I accomplished so much!!

October:

Just because it’s what’s done, doesn’t mean it’s what should be done.” — Cinderella (Cinderella)

This was the month I decided to become vegetarian😂. We had a meeting in Wellness, and I decided about a week later to try to be vegetarian. So far… it’s been going great! This quote is about killing too many animals and the processes that they use. This was said when Prince Charming (in the live action Cinderella) was about to kill a beautiful animal, and Ella told him not to. I thought it would fit well!

November:

“We didn’t even realize we were making memories. We just knew we were having fun.” — Winnie The Pooh

This month was the first time all of friends got together at someone’s house for a party, and we watched a scary movie together! We had my friend’s mom make us a smore-dip, and we devoured it!!! We all snuggled up, and because we had so much fun, we started to plan parties together more often! This month was an exciting time for me!!

December:

“I could go running, and racing, and dancing, and chasing, and leaping, and bounding, hair flying, heart pounding, and splashing, and reeling, and finally feeling! Now’s when my life begins!” — Rapunzel (Tangled)

I was soooo ready for winter break. I had a ball at my friend’s Christmas party, and I got everything I could’ve ever asked for! We decorated my tree, put up decorations, which I was sad to take down in January, and went to the coolest New Year’s Eve party. This quote explains how everyone feels when the bell rings after seventh period the day before break. PARTY!!!!

January:

“Make the clock reverse. Bring back what once was mine.” –Rapunzel (Tangled)

I was devastated when we had to go back to school in January. I was happy to see friends again, but it was hard to get back into the swing of things. December is filled with so many exciting events, so when it’s over, and a new year has started, it feels like you have nothing to look forward to. However, I did go to a Panic at the Disco concert with my besties, and it was a blast! It was one of the best nights of my life. We also got out of school one day for snow, and I went shopping with my friend group! We went into a lot of stores, and we ate out after! That made me remember that life wasn’t so bad! So all in all, January was amazing!

February:

“Remember, you’re the one who can fill the world with sunshine.” – Snow White (Snow White And The Seven Dwarves.)

I had to learn some new music for a Women’s Choir Festival that month! It was a challenge, but it was fun! We got out of school that day for snow, but sadly, that meant that I didn’t get to go to MTSU to sing!!! It was a missed opportunity, and I was really sad. I would’ve gotten to work with the MTSU’s Music Director!! AHHH. But…

This month was also sweet. Since Valentine’s Day was around the corner, people were holding hands down the hall, balloons were floating while they where switching classes, and there were pink hearts everywhere. Ahhh… love in the air. But not for me.😂

This quote is about self-love! Since I didn’t have a love, I just had to love myself!!❤

March:

“Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional”– Walt Disney

This is my birthday month! I had the best party ever, and I invited all of my close friends. We went bowling, ate cake, and played darts. This is also the month that I went to Orlando! I wrote a blog post about that if you want to check it out! That was one of the best vacations of my life. It was such an enjoyable place, and I loved swimming in the ocean!

I know that no matter how old I’ll get, I’ll still have that childishness in me!

April:

“No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.” – Cinderella (Cinderella)

April was a hard month to get through. It felt like it lasted a lifetime!!! It was finals season, which meant stress and hard work! However, my mom had her birthday party in April, and that was incredibly fun! She invited all of my best friends, and all of her best friends to her party. For a gift, I even made a video for her. I compiled clips of everyone wishing her a happy birthday, and I put them together and edited it for her! We played it at her party, and she cried!! I got a flood of compliments for it as well, which made me feel nice! This quote shows how even though I was stressed, I worked hard and something and it turned out fantastic!

May:

“Have courage and be kind” — Cinderella (Cinderella)

This is actually one of my favorite Disney quotes. It’s simple, but it goes a long way. School is really trying to rest my patience right now, so this quote is pulling me through. Even if things are going wrong, I have to look on the positive side and try to be happy! Only about two and half more weeks of school left!

Alrighty! Those are my 10 Disney quotes explaining how I felt this school year. Thanks for reading!

Time (One Syllable Poem)

Why does time go slow when we are scared?

Why does time fly by when we are out with friends?

Why do the big hands on the clock tick by so fast?

Why is time a thing that you can not touch, see, hear, or smell, but it has such

great weight on us?

Time can change us.

Time can heal us.

Time can force us to start.

Time can make us sad.

Time can make us glad.

Time can make us miss loved ones.

Time can change the world.

So.

Let this teach you.

Hold on tight to the ones you love

Spend time right.

The clock hands will not stop for you to do a thing that you do not want to do.

Stay true.

Be you.

How To Get a PMA

Hello Loves! Today, we will be discussing how to acquire a PMA. What’s a PMA, you may be asking. Well, I’m here to help you my babies.

PMA stands for Positive Mental Attitude. Positive Mental Attitude is exactly what it sounds like. Having a positive state of mind can change your whole life. Here are some steps to achieving it!

Step 1: Get up!

If you’re reading this post, you’re already half way there! The first step is to want to have a PMA. You can’t have one without working for it. Put yourself in the state of mind that you want to work. You want to improve. You want to be happy.

Are you there yet?

Yay! You’ve completed the first step!

Step 2: Remind Yourself

Now that you’re ready, you can finally begin! It’s easy to fall back into negative thoughts sometimes, so this is the step that will hopefully prevent that.

I like to write in my planner everyday something nice. If something exciting is coming up, I circle it and highlight it so that I can look forward to something.

Small things like writing “You’re so cute today!” on a post-it and sticking it to your mirror can effect your mood. I spelled out “Tuff Girl” on my mirror with temporary puff stickers. When I would read it, it would remind me that I could get through anything.

If you think that that’s a dumb idea, try to just say it in your head everyday. I might be hard to believe sometimes, but you have to try. You can only be you, so be the best you that you can be!! (Cheesy… but true.)

Step 3: Don’t Dwell

This is a hard one. Dwelling on bad things in your past might be one of the reasons that you’re so negative.

“I failed that test! I’m probably gonna fail this one too.”

NO! That’s not PMA! If you failed the last test, study for the next one! TRY YOUR BEST AT EVERYTHING. This is amazing advice that my Biology teacher gave me yesterday. It gives you motivation to do everything to your best ability.

I know when you’re laying in bed at night thinking about the time in third grade when you tripped over a chair and face-planted in front of your crush does not make you feel so hot. You have to just laugh it off. I know, I know, it was traumatizing for little third grade you, but now, do you really think other people remember it? They have their own traumatizing moments to worry about!!

Step 4: Set Goals

I know at this point I sound like a Connect Worksheet (only people that go to my school know what I mean) but you gotta listen. Setting goals is an actual step. According to me, at least.

If you get a 90% or higher, get a cookie from the vending machine. If you made it through the week without any Coke, reward yourself with a Coke.

Wait, no don’t do that.

Make goals that are specific and that are realistic. For example, in middle school, if I came home with all A’s and B’s on my report card, my dad would take me to Crispy Creme to get donuts. It was the best motivation cause you know this girl wanted her donuts.

Goals help you progress. It’s positive thinking if you set goals and work hard for them to become true. Take two minutes and list some goals that you have. Or, you could put them in my comments!

Step 5: Be Optimistic

I know not everyone is born optimistic, but maybe you can try to talk to others who are! They can help you see the light that you might not have thought of before! They can help point out to you all of the things I have mentioned above. Having all negative friends can actually partake in what you feel too.

I would talk to people that just wouldn’t have any motivation to do anything, and because I listened to them, I, myself, actually became negative for a while. I moved myself away from those people, and now I’m one of the most positive people I know. Woo!

Alright, loves! Those are my steps to getting a PMA! I’m a happy person and I have followed these steps, so I hope they work for you guys too!

Tell me you thoughts or suggestions in the comments below!

Spring Break 2K19!

Hello Loves! I went to Florida for Spring Break this year! WOO! Here’s a list of the things I did while I was there with my best friend and her family.

  • Ate a lot of ice cream

I don’t think you guys know how much me and my friends love ice cream

  • Went to Coco beach

Hung out on the sand and swam in the water

  • Went to the resort’s pool a lot

Our moms were obsessed with the pool, so that meant we went with them! I wouldn’t complain though because it was sunny and fun. Even if the water was cold, we could sit by the pool and enjoy the Florida weather!

  • Went to the resort’s hot tub a lot

Our moms also enjoyed the hot tub at night… as well as a lot of other people at the resort… which was a little awkward… so I didn’t get in😬

  • Got Funky Monkeys at the Tiki Bar

The best part of the pool! We could put our drinks on our parents tab, so it was fun to feel fancy and say, “Just put it on the tab, please…”

  • Rode a boogie board on the waves

The best part of the vacation for me. I never realized how much I loved the ocean until I caught a wave on my boogie board. It felt so freeing to go with the waves, and I wish I could’ve stayed longer.

  • Laughed until I cried

Multiple times. No context needed😂

  • Went to Disney Springs (shopping center)

We went to a lot of stores, but I ended up buying a Ron Jon t shirt and an anklet!

  • Ate yummy food

Lots of it, too!

  • Saw some cute boys…

I’m a teen girl with my best friend in Florida, okay? I gotta look.

  • Got dressed up

We went out to eat on the last night, and I wore my sundress!

  • Got dressed down

Comfy clothes baby…

  • Made biscuits (I accidentally got a burn😆)

Yeah… oops. I still have a little mark on my thumb. It was worth it though because when I gave the parents their biscuits, they were so happy.

  • Played Skipbo

One of my favorite card games!

  • Stayed up late

Oops!😂

  • Wrote stories

I wrote when my friend was asleep.

  • Took pictures

I need pics for my insta! No, actually, I took pictures for memories. I have a lot of just the outside of our hotel so that I will always remember the experience.

Well, that’s about the end of it! Tell me in the comments if you went anywhere over Spring Break. Or, if you’re in my class, you can link me to your blog post about it! Love you guys!

5 Types Of Friends We All Got

Hello Loves! These are the ten types of friends that I think everybody has.

  1. The Clingy One

You got one, don’t lie. You have that one friend… that just decides that they love you… to an extreme extent. I love the love, but it’s too much.

“Hey, y/n, what you doin? Can I see? OH WOW WHOA that’s so cool! Wow, y/n!”

“Hey, y/n, hey, y/n, hey, y/n! Guess what? You won’t believe! Guess what?”

It’s so nice to have them like you so much, but when they are constantly annoy- I mean… when they constantly bother you, it’s sooo hard to try to be nice. It’s sooooo hard.

2. The Loud One

There’s always that one kid that will make the loudest sounds. No matter where you are. Church, school, restaurants, or any place you could think of. When you’re at lunch, they’ll laugh so loud that everyone stares. When there’s a cute guy standing in line, they’ll burp and he’ll look over. Sometimes, they are the funniest people in the group, but sometimes… they are the death of you… but in a good way!

3. The Super Sweet One

Even though you might not romantically love them, you are in love with them. They are the sweetest, kindest, babiest, little marshmallow that you’ve ever seen. They would do anything to help anyone else, and they are probably really smart. These people are either just school friends or you guys are really good friends. There’s no in between. They are the best ones, so you better keep them around!

4. The Rough One

This one is kinda nice…sometimes. They will defend you until the end, but they will call you out too. They will tell you the truth, no matter what.

“Does this make me look dumb?”

“Yes, let me fix it.”

You like having a real opinion though because number three would tell you that you look fine, even if you don’t. They can come of mean or hateful, but they are just not as empathetic as others are. They keep you balanced. They will tell you the new trends, take you out of your comfort zone, and make you laugh on your bad days.

5. The Best Friend

This person’s a ride or die. You guys are tailored to each other. You love them, and they love you. You can hang out for days and not get tired of one another… until you do😆. They know everything about you and your life. Maybe even more then your parents do! You love to call, face-time, or see them every weekend. They lift you up and make you feel at home. You guys have so many inside jokes, that it gets to a point where people don’t even know what you’re saying. They are a life long friend that you couldn’t live without.

So that’s it! Sorry if I didn’t add all of your friends. Post in the comments some types of the friends you have!

Current Events and New Albums

Hello Loves! Today we will be on the topic of… I’m sorry… K-pop. BTS’s new album is coming out soon, Monsta X just released a new song, ATEEZ is getting more famous… a lot of things are happening. I’ll just give my thoughts and opinions.

BTS’s Album

Map of the Soul: Persona

So there’s a new album coming out in April! WOO! They’ve released concept photos, and one of the members, RM, released a song and music video from it! It’s called persona. I listened, and I thought it was weird, but really cool. I’m excited to see how they approach this new album. They’re making references to their old music, so I think they’re going back to that era. There are theories that go along with the music videos and stuff, but I can’t keep up with all of those! I do know that I’ll love the album, however, because I adore how they make their stuff.

Song and Music Video:

Monsta X’s New English Song

Play It Cool

It’s rare for a K-pop group to make a full song in English, because… well…it’s K-pop. Steve Aoki is a mixer who works with a lot of people, and he helped BTS produce their first song all in English. Monsta X’s song is all in English as well, so even if you don’t like K-pop, I recommend you listen to it! It is more of a BDM song that you would hear on the radio. I listened to it, and I really like it! It’s a good one to dance to.

Having a full song in English is a really big deal in the K-pop community. All of the international fans (me) love to see their English songs get popularity in the U.S. It would be so cool for someone to hear their song on the radio or something, then look them up and get into their stuff!

Song and Music Video:

ATEEZ Is Taking Over…

ATEEZ is a new rookie K-pop group that debuted under KQ Entertainment and Stone Music Entertainment in October 2018. They have two albums so far, and a lot of cool music videos! They even have dance covers of them dancing before they released their own music. They are very talented, and I think everyone needs to see their dancing, at least.

The reason they are getting so big is because (no shade) they are better than some groups that have been around for a long time. Some people are even saying that they could win a Best Rookie Award for 2019. That would help them out so much! They are even getting a U.S tour, and they’ve only been out for seven months!!

Dancing Video: (P.S IS A R RATED SONG).

Their Own Music Video:

HWASA’s New Song

TWIT

This song is sooo powerful!! It’s all about calling a guy a “twit”, which basically translates to a dumb guy. She is so independent, and she even says in the song, “I only breathe for me.” I LOVE ITTT. The music video is also really different. She serves so many looks in this video, it’s crazy!

Song and Music Video:

SUMNI’s New Song

Noir

If you read the lyrics, it sounds like a break up song. However, if you watch the music video, it has a completely different meaning. It’s about people being obsessed with social media, and how it corrupts their brain. She does multiple horrible things, then films them with her phone and posts it on her Instagram in the video. It has a very deep, meaningful message in it, and I think people need to see it. (P.S THIS VIDEO IS KIND OF GORY).

Song and Music Video:

Alright! That’s all! Thanks for reading me talking about pop culture!😂

If you read this far, you get an ice cream!🍦

Into the Woods (I Was In a Play!)

Hey Loves! So… I was in the play Into the Woods at my high school! I played Cinderella’s Mom, which, by the way, isn’t the evil one. I got a little solo and one line!

I got to stand in a tree on the side of the stage and sing to Cinderella when she asks for her dress and slippers, and I also got to sing to Cinderella’s Prince and the stepsisters when they try to run off with the prince. I basically come up in there and say, “Dude, this ain’t the right girl.”😂

We had four shows. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7pm, and on Sunday at 2pm. The cast had to be there two hours early to get makeup, hair, costumes, and mics. I’m not trying to throw shade, but our drama department is very unorganized, so we basically had 45 minutes to do makeup and hair. Everyone was rushing around, but I was smart and did my base, hair, and eye shadow before I came so I only had to do my eyelashes and lipstick there! I helped all of the girls zip up there dresses and tie up their corsets, you know, all of the basic needs. I even helped Cinderella do her quick change in Act II.

We got Play Bills at the end, and everything looked so cool in it. Everyone had a picture with their name and characters under it, and my mom bought a place to give me and my friend a shout out! My mom’s work even paid to have their add on the back of the Play Bill in color! She works at a med spa, and they wanted to get their name out there! The money also really helped the drama department.

After the last show on Sunday, we all went to Chili’s! It was really fun, and I got to sit next to some really nice people. After we finished, about seven of us went to an ice cream shop😂. I got plain chocolate with a lot of toppings! We sat outside and talked about the play and how we would miss all of the seniors next year. It’s sad to know that some of my new friends will be leaving in a couple of months. I became so close to everyone in that cast, so at least I’ll know some people next year.

I’ll miss this play, but it was also very stressful, so I’m glad that it’s over!!

Thanks for helping me meet so many wonderful people!

Thanks for reading my loves.
